Need help finding schools...

First things first, I NEED good financial aid. I only have one parent working at the moment ($30K) and we wont be able to afford anything without aid.

My stats:
3.90UW/4.53W GPA
SAT: 1880/2400 & 1250/1600
ACT: 30 (31 Math, 30 CR)
*Note: please do not judge on test scores alone

AP's:
World (3)
APUSH
Psych
Calc AB
*Human Geography
*Biology
*Government
*English Literature
(senior year)

Clubs/positions:
Colorguard-marching band (captain 2 years)
SWAT and Drug Free Youth (President 1 year)
NHS (Vice President 1 year)
MAT
Academic Olympics

Community service:
Intern in infant/toddler daycare, volunteer for middle school's STEM program, Technology Student Association program, Technology class, Woodshop class, and the spring colorguard camp.

Interests:
Mechanical engineering, Physics, Environmental studies, and communication design

Schools looked at so far:
Carnegie-Mellon, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, JHU, University of Florida (in-state), and Sewanee.

Anyone know of any good matching universities?

UF is a pretty good match (the ACT is better) but look at some other in-state schools to take advantage of Bright Futures.

Here is somewhere else to look: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/848226-important-links-automatic-guaranteed-merit-scholarships.html

REACH:
Carnegie Mellon
Vanderbilt
Georgetown
Johns Hopkins

LOW MATCH:
University of Florida
Sewanee

Schools with good merit aid:
Case Western, Rochester, Pittsburgh, Alabama, Oklahoma, UT Dallas (the last three have guaranteed merit aid, I think.)

Your safety schools should have automatic merit scholarships.

Oh, and since you’re interested in science, Rochester, Case, and Drexel all have strong programs.
