Need Help Finding Smaller Catholic College

University of Dallas is a small Catholic college with a large Hispanic population. Perhaps she might fit well there?

If you are willing to climb up into the temperate zones, there are tons of Catholic colleges (of varying degrees of Catholicism, of course) in the NE. Christendom is a lovely school but extremely conservative (opposite genders aren’t even allowed in the lobbies of the dorms, there is no internet in the dorms, nor tv; gals wear skirts, guys wear ties), and certainly isn’t for everyone. Also, I am not sure that suburban Virginia could be considered a warm climate. Certainly it’s hot and humid in summer, but currently, they are under a blanket of 24 inches of the fluffy white stuff.

Franciscan U in Steubenville actively recruits Hispanic students, and has a students from all over the country with a price tag that is not too horrific (in comparison to some other schools). Less than 2500 students.

Scores may be too low for U. of Dallas, which has become much more selective recently. (It is the 3rd most selective school in Texas after Rice and Trinity–average scores 1800+SAT and 27 ACT, more NMFs per capita than any Catholic school.)

U. Dallas gives good merit aid for high test scores. It has a campus in Rome, which most students attend for a semester. It is an “intellectual” school, and a tough school.
