Need Help finding some Match/Safety Schools

First, thanks for your time and effort. It is greatly appreciated.

Second, my "stats"
White male
Arkansas
EFC: 0
GPA- 3.42
ACT- 32
No AP's or SAT Subject Tests
Graduated with a class of 13.
Taking time off between HS and college. Working on some research and traveling.

Very good rec(s). Done by Science teacher/Quiz Bowl coach/Assistant baseball coach and my Math teacher.

Essays: I am hoping they will be received well. Writing is my strong point and, hopefully, it will shine through in my essays.

Academic Honors

Quiz Bowl (All-State 9,11,12), (Captain 9,10,11,12)

EAST Ambassador to the National Convention (10,11)

Extracurriculars

Community Service: Volunteered over 700 hours at a local Jr. High. as a graduate assistant coach.

Quiz Bowl:10 hrs/40 weeks. As noted above, recognized at the state level. Was also captain all four years.

Varsity Baseball: Not measurable due to American Legion/gaudy amount of practice. All-Region (11,12), All-Conference (9,10,11,12), Captain (11,12)

Misc. Information
About to have some poetry published. Also, working on some research regarding baseball statistics. While I could possibly be a recruited athlete, I do not wish to play baseball in college so please do not take that into factor.

I desire a liberal arts education and will probably major in the social sciences, most likely political science or history with an economics minor. I really hope to head up north and seek an athletic student body with a strong social scene (Greek Life, Social Clubs, etc).

Current Schools of Interest List
Bates
Bowdoin
Bucknell
Colby
Colgate
Conn. College
Dickinson College
Gettysburg College
Hamilton
Holy Cross
Lafayette
Lehigh
Middlebury
Muhlenberg
Trinity (CT)
Wheaton (MA)

I am really struggling to find schools that fit my desires that are less selective and provide good financial aid.

Once again, thanks in advance for your help!

You've identified some great schools. With your ACT, ECs and interest areas, Bucknell, Lehigh, Wheaton and Hamilton may be right up your alley. Dickinson and Holy Cross, too. (Some others may be reaches -- i.e., Bowdoin, Middlebury)

Some midwest schools with good merit aid are Miami (OH), Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan and Denison. Miami has a strong greek scene. Denison has a greek scene but it is more "behind the scenes".

You might want to take a look at DePauw, Grinnell, Augustana, Rhodes, Centre...those are a few more excellent liberal arts schools that seem to be a good fit!

Rollins, Randolph Macon, Emory & Henry....

Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, and Colgate are the only schools on your list in Division 1 and they are all in the Patriot League which is similar to the Ivy League in that the stated goal is to have athletes who are academically representative of the student body. See: The Patriot League - Official Athletic Site

I like your list, and agree with others that Rhodes, Denison, and Ohio Wes are worth looking at. Tulane is not up north, but they seem to have the campus life that you desire, and they have good financial aid. The academic level also seems fine for you.

Good choices. Trinity (CT) has strong social scene, athletic student body, strong academics. For safeties try Drew in NJ (not as big athletically, though but close to NYC) and St. Lawrence in NY.

Two others to consider in NY that fir your criteria are Union College and Hobart William Smith (match/safety).
