oh I read your post wrong, sorry.
October 11st is the first SAT on this Fall. Not sure if there is enough time before application deadline. However,
school officials tend to accept score if it’s a bit late after app deadline is over. Ask school officials during summer through email or phone. I know several cases that students send scores a bit after deadline. Unless you choose to send scores no matter what you got before you know your score, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Now for ED…there is a condition you need to follow.
First, you can’t apply for other ED school or SCEA-single choice Early Action.
You can apply to EA schools ONLY IF Upenn allows you, which it does. If you accidentally apply to another ED, then your admission will be withdrawn…and you may be on school’s black list.

In case you don’t know what EA is, EA stands for early action, where you apply for schools early but have no responsibility to attend. Naturally it generally has lower acceptance than ED(some exceptions, maybe) You can apply to other EA schools.
SCEA is a single choice Early action, where you apply to ONLY ONE EA school and have no obligation to attend there. kinda like ED. You can’t apply to another EA or ED schools. Don’t make that mistake!

2nd, if UPenn is your absolutely first choice, prepare for shock in case you get rejected. Is Upenn the best school for you? Certainly it has great internship/undergraduate research opportunities. However, please look for colleges that have great opportunities as well. Like W&L or Vassar college.

3rd, this applies to only some schools(i forgot what they are) but you may not get financial aid if you do ED…or may not give you a good aid. Ask school about it…idk about Upenn because I did RD(and got rejected LOL)

4th, you can’t re apply if you get rejected. However if you get deferred you have a chioce: regular decision or just withdraw.

In conclusion, unless you are 100% sure you love to go to Upenn, don’t do ED. It’s binding, remember. Unless you show good arguments regarding financial situation to Upenn, you HAVE to go. Also, since you are applying to ED with financial aid, the chance that you will get in will actually be lower than ED acceptance rate that’s shown on the website.
