1, when doris lessing published The Golden Notebook in 1962, (it) instantly established herself as one of the most important literary vioices of her generation.
Why "it" is wrong? i can not figure it out.

2,the regularly scheduled conference between my tutor and me (is) set for Friday, but my low grades in chemistry (requires) me to arrange an earlier meeting.
Here requires is wrong, why? I thought is should be wrong, should be has been....

3, I can never distinguish did from has done: here are two sentences:
A, From about a.d 700 to 1600, sculptors (created) nearly 1,000 colossal rock statues on the remote and tiny Easter island.
B, According to statistics, the average age of college students (has risen) quite noticeably over the past 25 years.
I think from 700 to 1600 is a period, and so the perfect tense should be used, but clearly created here is right. ..

Look at the rest of the sentence. There are words such as “herself” and “her generation”. She is the main subject of the sentence so the pronoun must refer to her, so it should be “she”.

The regularly scheduled conference between my tutor and me is set for Friday, but my low grades in chemistry requires me to arrange an earlier meeting. (‘requires’ is wrong, is ‘me’ an object of preposition?)

When you have prepositions like “but” “with”, “between” , “among” etc use “me” instead iof “I” - you get the drift. Obvioulsy grades is plural and so “require” is the needed correction.
