Need Help getting on track for Med School.

<p>I'm about to finish my first year at a community college as a Psych Major. My plan is to transfer to a UC or CSU and then go to med school. I was going to change my major to chemistry but after doing some research most people advised to do an undergrad major that you actually enjoy.</p>

<p>As of now I have really no idea what it takes to get into med school. I've done some research online but most of the information is pretty basic. Where can i get information on research projects, MCAT, and all the other things I need to know about going to med school. </p>

<p>As far as what doctor I want to be I truly don't know yet. I'm good with people and I like helping people so I know I want to be a Med but not exactly sure which one. When will I have to make the decision of what specific field I am going into.</p>

<p>Any advice on getting on track to Med School and any links to resources ( books, internet, w.e) that can give me some detailed information would be great. </p>

<p>Medschool confidential (a book) is a great starting point, shifting through the forum will also give you a wealth of information. I’m sure all your questions have been answered at least once somewhere in this forum.
