Need help/hints about spending up reading time.

Last time I took the SAT I ran out of time to fully read the passages. I am a very slow reader compared to many of my fellow peers. How do I improve my reading (with comprehension) time?

Read the first 1/3 of the passage, and then read the first and last sentence of each preceding paragraph. I read this advice from barron’s 2400 book.

I was a really, really slow reader as well! But I heard about “speed reading” from one of my friends. So I literary spent days and days researching, going through youtube, and simply trying all the tips and advice I can get my hands on. I was about to give up, but when I casually went to a book store one day, I was like “shiiittt I can read this fast?!”

I didn’t even know all those b.s. actually worked! I’m not sure if this is just in my head, but I seem to be reading pretty quickly AND understanding the stuff I’m reading. And when I got home, I tried some CR sections and was able to finish the 25 mins sections under 20 mins!

So, if you want to do CR a lil’ quicker, I’d try speed reading ;)
