Need Help, I don't know what College/ University to go to.

Hey guys. I am in a bit of a problem here, I have no idea what to do with my life after high school. Alright, maybe I do have a small idea but I do not not what college/university to go to. I love computers and math I was thinking in maybe majoring in Computer Science and or computer engineering. The problem is that I also want to do ROTC and join the Army so what do you think would be the best school for me? And what should I do to get a ROTC scholarship? Or any scholarship? What would be the best university or college that I should go to that has both a nice ROTC program and a nice computer science/ computer engineering program?

My GPA so far, if I get good grades on my midterms that I am taking this week, should be in the 4.5 range (weighted). (I am a junior)
I am taken honors and AP classes. I got a 4 on the AP Spanish test last year and currently I am taking AP English Language and Composition, AP Chemistry, and AP US history. Next year I am hoping to take AP Calculus BC, AP macroeconomics, AP government, AP Physics, AP English literature and possibly take AP computer science online over the summer. I also have been in JROTC so far for 3 years and I am Company XO, and hopefully next year I will be on staff. I am going to take my SAT and ACT pretty soon so I do not have my scores yet. If you guys need any more information about me that will help please ask. I also have a lot of community service hours, but I do not know the exact numbers but I will get a JUMs report soon and I will be able to find out. I am thinking it is past the 100 hour range. Please and thank you for any help. I am extremely scared about my future and any help that I will be able to receive will be fantastic

North Georgia College & State University

^ would that be a good school for me?

Rename this thread, or repost in regards to ROTC and you will get better advice, especially from current ROTC parents and students. The scholarships are competitive. Luckily for you, ROTC programs are most often located in state schools where you will be able to find your major interests. Work with your commander on the scholarship and see if he can reach out to the college ROTC groups for overnight visits, etc.

Also, if you know you want to go into the service, apply to West Point if you have the stats. Simply preparing for the rigorous application process will help you prepare for the college search in general.

Well, I don’t necessarily have to go to a ROTC school; I am completely clueless of where I am going but Ill post this in the ROTC section.

Talk together with your parents or a guidance counselor with an Army recruiter. They can provide some guidance on ROTC and military academy. If you do apply to west point the recruiter can give you information about how to request a nomination. Most of the service academies have a summer experience for prospective students between the junior and senior year, so that’s something you should look into as well.
