So far I've been accepted to Rider University, The University of the Arts, and Marymount Manhattan College. I actually like all of these schools and am having a tough time making a choice. I have significant scholarships to Rider and UofA, however, I want to receive the best training possible for a career in musical theatre. Can anyone provide some insight on these schools to help me make my decision?

UArts and MMC have their own sub-forums under Musical Theatre Schools where you can find a lot of information about each school.

Actually, Rider does, too, but it’s under Westminster College of the Arts. Maybe one of our moderators can change that one of these days because it has changed to simply Rider University. The WCA affiliation is still there, but they don’t use it so much in the name.

Congratulations on all your choices, Tucker! All three schools are excellent choices, but different in many ways. You should just go through the threads on all three to get the feel for those. I am sure that at the end of the search, you will have a very good handle on the personality of each!

The schools may be able to set you up with current students that you could chat with to get some '“inside scoop.” Have you been able to visit any of the schools, sit in on MT classes or see a show? All three are close enough so that you could visit them in a short period if you can get to the area.
