Need Help Looking for a Inexpensive Christian College

Here is an update. I still haven’t chosen a college, but I am interested in Bryan College in Tennesee, Northland International University in Dunbar, Wisconsin, and Union in Tennessee all of which make my mom a little uncomfortable because they are all almost 1,000 miles away. I am starting to consider Colorado Christian, so if anyone has any personal experience with them, please let me know!

We know different families whose kids have attended/are attending Colorado Christian University, Lee (TN), Lipscomb (TN), Judson (IL), and Harding (AR). For each student, cost was a significant factor - after scholarships and sometimes before, the COA was the same or less than our state flagship. All seem satisfied at least with their majors and overall experience. I’ve heard CCU gives strong merit/aid packages. Its grads speak highly of it.

musicohana,
I am actually looking at Lipscomb and Harding along with Carson-Newman (TN) and Belmont (TN). I am planning on trying to visit all 4 of these plus Bryan College(TN) this summer.

ChesneyLee,

Our daughter is a Junior in high school and we have visited Lee University in Cleveland, TN. which is really close to Bryan College. Our daughter is very impressed with Lee. It is a Church of God supported school and we are Independent Baptists. A little different in some beliefs but not so much that it is in direct contrast to what typical Baptists believe. I encourage you to visit Lee if you make it to that part of the U.S.

Try Gordon (37k) or Liberty(24k).

Grove City (20k) has Elementary Ed:

You never know what you will get for aid but you do have to plan ahead and find the financially safe schools.

PCC- Pensacola Christian College is relatively cheap. (compared to some other schools) With fee’s and everything its about $9,000. (Of course more if you go for Nursing. Those books are expensive! chuckles)

Liberty has a ton of scholarships and ways to lower costs. $1,000 for being a Virginia resident, $5,000 if you have at least a 3.3 GPA and 1270 SAT or something like that, VTAG is $3,100, and if you can get into the honors program that’s another $4 or 5k scholarship.

Calvin College has about 4,000 students and has a great education program and foreign language programs. Calvin has scholarships based on merit and many other things making the school affordable for everyone.
