No student who plans to get a degree leading to a well paying job can know for sure that it will work out. They may change majors, get weeded out, lose financing and not be able to finish, become disabled, or worse. If they have a family who can afford to underwrite the debt, they can probably afford to risk it. Everyone else should think carefully before borrowing that much.
