I am an average student and I am struggling to make an 18 on the ACT. What can I do to get me score up in the low 20's on the next test?

If I were you, I would go buy the Princeton Review ACT book to learn concepts for the ACT and then the Real ACT (red book) to take practice tests. This should help you improve your score. If you don’t want to study by yourself, you may want to check into an ACT class or get a tutor for the ACT. Good luck…you can definitely raise your 18 into the low 20’s.

Even an average student can do exceptional on the ACT. You just need to practice. That is all you really can do. By the sounds of it the Princeton Review book is really good and also as whitesox24 said the Real ACT book. You need to take as many practice tests as you can and also you can find some free online tutor programs. Some even have a free question of the day sent to your email. This will help. Good luck! I’m sure you can do really well on it.
