That was 17 hours. But it appears Spanish 101 isn't offered in the winter semester. When I met with my engineering advisor, we picked Spanish 101 but just found out a couple days ago it isn't offered in the winter semester. So she has told me to pick another Humanities/Social Science class. I was thinking along the lines of econ...because I might major in it. (already got credit for Econ101 and 102 from AP exams)

I was thinking about taking a minor in economics... but it looks like I have to take like:

"REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ECONOMICS MINOR
Economics 401 completed with a C- or better
Economics 402 completed with a C- or better
Economics Electives: 9 credits in upper-level economics courses, including 3 credits in courses with ECON 401 or 402 as a prerequisite."

So it looks like I have to take like all 400 level/400+ to get a minor in economics?

Yes. But 401/402 is kind of like the next level after 101/102 in a sequence. 401/402 are difficult, but don't let the jump in class number scare you--they just number things oddly. (Of course, you could be really dumb like me and take 401 without prior econ experience for like...no reason. Crap. That exam's in a week.)
