I am a domestic student, and will come under OOS applicant category.

I have got acceptance to the following schools:
- GATech (BME) - Bear minimum Funding - Possible to switch major
- UIUC (General Engineering) - 45% funding - Needs to apply for change in major at the end of 1st year.
- Purdue - ECN - 30% funding
- UC SD - ECN - Still waiting for financial aid award info
- CASE - BME Offered round 75% funding May be possible for major change
- CMU ECN (PWL) & UMich ECN (WL) No further hopes

Back in October/November, when I started my application process, I had an interest that was aligned with BME. As I went through my senior year, I found that, for Chemistry, I have a high risk to succeed. I believe, my main strength is Mathematics (subject wise) and applications / Engineering / Technology. I am good at languages. I like and am good at Biology also. It is the Chemistry that made me to move away from BME.

So, I switched my major interest to ECE/ECN/EECS/CSC. (I may pursue BME as a minor, if I get a better taste for Chemistry in future). I also wish to go for a top graduate school for my masters, for sure.

Now, I came to a point where I need to select my final destination school.

GATech: I was in deeply in love with this Tech school. Based on my scores, GPA and FAFSA, I expected to get some aid. Unfortunately, I got $0 as support. I worry; I may not make it any more
UIUC: I also put UIUC as my second most interested school, but the major they offered is GE, which I neither asked for nor interested. It looks like a long shot. Financial Aid also is not great (from my affordability view). So this may go down as well.
Purdue University: I got a major I want but FA is not encouraging. Cost is huge for me to consider.
UCSD : Still waiting for FA response. But based on the experience so far, I have no hopes for this as well.

What looks attractive is CASE.

CASE really gave me a nice FA package. During the application process, the whole communication with the Admissions & FA committees went extremely well. It's just amazing, professional and helpful. They have shown a real interest in my application.

Based on my research so far, it looks CASE is a very good school. Except recent couple of years, I spent all my life in SW Ohio. So weather is not a major concern for me. I may have one senior at CASE. Some easy college transition may be possible.

However, I have the questions I look for help:
1) Though CASE is known Engineering, my understanding is - it is more of Pre-Med/Med/Nursing/BME schools flavor. How good are the other Engineering streams @ CASE for UG? (Particularly Elect, Electronics & Comp. Sci.)
2) How reputed is the EECS at CASE? (Is that equal/less/more reputed than BME)? How do you rate it with other schools in the similar pool of schools?
3) What is the academic rigor EECS? How many hours of work somebody is expected to put to get a descent grade (say between 3.5 - 3.75)?
4) What is the course completion period for EECS? (Should I expect to take more than 4 years, in general)?
5) I heard that, at CWRU, though people join for other majors in Engineering, they will slowly shift towards BME. Is that a right understanding? (Means, how common is major change from EECS to other majors?)
6) How common it is for EECS people at CWRU to go to other top schools for graduate programs?
7) What are the job prospectuses after finishing EECS?

Actually, there was a Webinar yesterday night with EECS Head/CWRU. But unfortunately, due to a conflict I could not attend that one.

Based on your knowledge/experience with CASE, can you please help me on
- EECS at CASE in specific? and
- About CASE in general?
It will add lot more clarity in moving forward in my decision process

Thanks
