need help on my situation

I have always been a great students. My overall GPA is 3.5

But last semester I thought of changing majors so I took a lot of classes outside of my original major. Later I changed the mind back so I decided to drop the semester, since it's all useless courses anyway. Another reason I wanted to drop the semester is because I had an outside entrepeneur venture so I wanted to take a year off.

My entrepeneur venture turned out to be a success and I've won an award.

Now I want to finish my study. Here is the thing, and this is making me very stressed out.

For some reason I wasn't dropped from that last semester. I thought I was dropped but it turned out I wasn't. They say I missed the deadline or I remembered the deadline wrong. So instead of "WITHDRAWS", I ended up flunking all the classes last semester since I wasn't even there.

This killed my GPA. I have always been an A and B student. But how can I straighten this out?

I didn't FLUNK those classes in a traditional sense. I didn't go to classes and do poorly on everything. I actually was getting an A at the start before I decided to drop, then afterward I never did anything afterward.

I made a mistake. I was too careless to miss the deadline. If only I had try to withdraw just maybe a week earlier, I would've been fine. I've learned my lesson. I'm only human. But I feel this lesson is too cruel. I'm a hardworking person with big dreams and I care about my future, as shown by my previous grades and other accomplishments.

PLEASE HELP ME. What are my options?

I don't think I deserve those Fs for that semester. I wish to change them to "Ws" (withdraws)

Can I talk to the chancellor?

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated

Are you a high school student, a college student or a UCLA student? You say that you selected a major which implies you're in college, but you also mention the semester system which implies you're not at UCLA. If you're a UCLA student I think you might want to ask the MyUCLA Academics forum instead, because they're more knowledgable with term withdrawal issues. Sorry that I can't actually help you with this...

Look at his first post. He claims hes applying to MIT and asks about the Intel talent search. He's obviously spamming for who knows what reason- actually let me take a crack at it. He tries to pretend hes both a college student and a high school student and mixed his stories up. He probably left high school during the school year to enter some award, but in the process, failed his classes- and now he wants you to come up with an excuse for him as to why he didn't prioritize correctly.

(I just hate these liar posters- can you tell by my bluntness?)
