Need help on SAT math question!

Can someone please explain how to do this?

They give you a sector with an angle of 30 degrees and the outer arc being 6 pie. How do you find the area of the sector?

There’s a formula for this, but personally I think it’s easier to just figure it out logically.

This sector has an angle of 30 degrees. A full circle has an angle of 360 degrees. 360 / 30 = 12, so 12 sectors exactly like this one would make up a full circle. The outer arc is part of the circumference. 6pi * 12 (sectors that make up a full circle) = 72pi = circumference.

I’m assuming you know how to use the circumference to find area. If you don’t, I’ll explain some more. Hope this helped and I wish you luck on the test. (:
