I'm a junior at the best public school in my state (according to the past few years of rankings) and I'm wondering which classes to take senior year. Currently, I'm in four AP classes (US, French, English Language & Composition, and US Government & Politics in addition to self-studying a fifth, Comparative Government & Politics) and in the top decile of my class. I'm not sure what colleges I want to apply to yet, but I have list of high caliber schools (top-20-ish just to give you an idea of what I'm looking for, not that I'm obsessed with rankings or Ivy League).

I'm not very good at math, (I'm in precalc right now, which oddly is the hardest math class at my school and way harder than my AP's), so I was thinking of not taking a math course senior year. Will this hurt my chances at good schools?

This was my planned Senior Year Schedule:
AP Art History
AP Psychology
AP European History
AP English Literature & Composition
AP Environmental Science
French Literature (Honors)
Band/Orchestra (Honors)

I know it will be a lot of work, but they are all classes I'm really interested in. However, a lot of my friends, who are really smart, are only taking six courses, so they can have an hour long lunch.

Is this a thorough senior year schedule and a good plan? Or should I take only six classes next year and/or take a Calc (Honors)?
