Hi,
I'm a freshman who is going into the SI Newhouse School and I want to take an average load of courses (roughly 15 credits) for my first semester but I want to know what courses are easiest in each of the divisions, especially the Natural Science and Mathematics division. Also, after taking the math placement test it said i qualified for MAT 221. Does anyone know if this class is easy/hard? Thank you so much

MAT 221 is stats you would be in the 200 level class. The sequence goes 121,122 then 221 so you would start off in a high level, now I took both 121 and 122 and they allow you to use the book on your test but Im not sure if that applies for 221.As a newhouse student I believe you can take a course called CRS 325 it is a easy class its public speaking you should check that out to make sure but I was in class with newhouse students so I would suggest that. Now with natural sciences,With Natural science I know that alot of people take NSD 225 its a nutrition class in the human ecology it might be packed now and you would have to make sure your school will count it towards your core if not you can always take a math to fill your Natural Science…If you do not know when choosing your schedule look up your professor on rate my professor it will give you insight on how the class is run.I always do that when choosing my classes it ensures you to have a good yet easy teacher.Hope this helps

thanks, that was definitely helpful
