Need help picking more schools to apply to!

I am really scared that I am not applying to enough target schools and will be unhappy with the final results.

Here are my stats:

SAT: 2280
SAT II: 800 - US History, 770 - Bio M, Math IIC - hearing tomorrow
GPA: 97.69

Extra curriculars:
JSA president
editor in chief of school newspaper
Debate captain - loads of awards
Model UN captain - award
literary magazine editor

Started lots of community service projects in my school

Bloustein award
AP Scholar
National Merit Commended

3 amazing recommendations, one saying that I one of the top 2 students he has taught in his 30 year career.

Currently, I am applying to these schools:

Yale
Maryland (Honors)
Rutgers (Honors)
Princeton
Columbia
Brown
Brandeis
John Hopkins
WUSTL - maybe

Interested in political science, international relations and history.

Can anyone recommend any other schools for me to apply to?????

Thanks!!!

You should definitely add Tufts, Chicago and possibly even Stanford.

If you want to do a maximum of 12 schools, then here's it (any ED?):
Yale-Realistic Reach
Maryland (Honors)- Accepted
Rutgers (Honors)-Accepted
Princeton-Realistic Reach (less likely than Yale)
Columbia-Gut says Accepted
Brown-Accepted
Brandeis-Accepted
Johns Hopkins-Accepted
WUSTL-Accepted
[Tufts and Chicago]-Accepted if you note compelling reasons
Stanford-You would be a VERY strong East Coast [Non Prep?] Applicant

I applied to Yale early action and from a private school.

Do tufts, chicago and stanford have strong political science departments??

Thanks!

Tufts, Chicago, and Stanford have superb Poli Sci department. Tufts has the #1-ranked International Relations program, too.

I thought Hopkins or Columbia had the best international relations program

does anyone know the answer?

They both have great programs, but the rankings go like this (Gourman):

Tufts
Princeton
Johns Hopkins
Georgetown
U Penn
Harvard
Cornell
U Wisconsin Madison
MIT
Stanford
UVA
Notre Dame
US Air Force Acad
US Military Acad
Claremont McKenna

You don't really need to apply to more- with your statistics, you will be accepted to a number. However, if you want to apply to one or two more, Georgetown, Cornell, Claremont McKenna, Notre Dame, and U Chicago sound like good ideas. I think that you would be accepted at UPenn, also. I expect that you will be accepted to most of the schools on your current list.
