Need Help, Please Respond

Hi, I just recently dropped out of high school and are now fearing that I may regret this decision. I dropped out during my second semester of junior year due to personal, emotional, and somewhat physical reasons. I plan on taking the GED, but I’m terrified that I might not get accepted into the college I want to go to. I would like to go to the University of Northern Colorado to study to become a Pediatric Nurse. I got a 27 on the ACT, but my GPA is only 2.87. I have a lot of extra curricular activities that I did before I dropped out, and I have years of volunteering experience. Did I make a mistake, are there any tips that you have for me? Please help me, and thanks for reading.

@Librascal Honestly, UNC isn’t hard to get into. If you get your GED, and have a 27 ACT with volunteer/ community/ work experience on your resume. I think you’ll be fine. I’m from Greeley and I know many people who have been in similar situations and have had no issues getting in. Good luck!

@rjoyn99 Thank you so much for replying! And thank you, this de-stresses me a bit  Also, in case it’s relevant, I would be in my senior year of high school right now, so it’s not like I’m still a junior.

@Librascal You’re welcome! To ease your worry even more, the ACT range is 20-24 which you were well above when you took it. The average GPA is around 3.2, but you’re close enough to be accepted, seriously! I know people who got into Colo State with a 2.8 and CSU is harder to get accepted into. Anyway GED, high school diploma, this school doesn’t care. Are you applying soon?
