Thinking about where to apply and my chances at the following colleges:
UCSD, UCB, UCLA, UCI, USC

gpa (weighted 10th and 11th): 3.96
toughest course load (i think all are honors plus 4 AP's except physics which is CP)
SAT: 2000 (690w 710m 600v) but i think i can improve in oct. to around 2200
SAT2's: 800 math2c, 710 chem
Few EC's including Eagle Scout (since seventh grade), MUN (three years and awards), worked junior summer at a hospital (80+ hrs), working this summer at a medical supplies warehouse (80+ hrs), have 200+ hours at Kaiser volunteering, involved in a special research program since beginning of junior year (100+ hrs)

I can probably pull-off good essays and two good letters of rec

You look good for the UCs (for LA or Berkeley, though, the average GPA is about 4.1). UC Irvine, UC San Diego you've got excellent chances for, especially with the 800 MathII. USC is a different story, but those essays will put you up there. It's funny you're applying to UCLA and USC--you know if you go to one it's mandatory to hate the other :p It also depends what school you go to. If you couldn't take APs before senior year and the honors courses don't give a grade boost, yours might be comparable to people with 4.3s at other places.

Don't know anything about UCs, but for USC, I'd say you have a very good chance for regular admission as it stands. If you can pull your SAT to a 2250+, then you'll have a good shot for a scholarship too. Don't suffer from senioritis during your fall semester of Senior year.

Also, I don't see much from your resume that really stands out...perhaps your essays will bring out your passions. :) Good luck, and hey, this is just my humble opinion!

im not sure where you live but...
IN STATE CHANCES ARE...
UCB/UCLA: Slight reaches
UCSD/UCI: matches
UCD/Others: Safties

im not sure whether u can put UCB/UCLA as slight reaches its just a guess. I heard the UCB has some "randomness" in their selection because they look highly at the essays. UCLA doesn't (i think)

anyways ur GPA is kinda low (i heard UCB/UCLA had like 4.26's average) but anyways get ur SAT score to around 2250+ if u can and write a really good essay

what do u guys think for this guy/girl, i think UCB/UCLA are slight reaches....
