First of all, do not feel hopeless(I used to).I improved from 22 to 29(I’m aiming for a 31.I know my weaknesses). So you are doing better than I was doing (A question for experts: Do I need to put a comma here ?)when I first started. Get every prep books you can find except Barron’s(the tests don’t look like the real one and are not precise at all) and use every opportunity improve yourself.

For English:
1)Review the rules and do the practice questions
2)Do a bunch of complete English sections without timing.
3)Check the questions you got wrong, and try to understand what was wrong with your answers and how can you correct them(before looking at the explanations at the back).
4)If you have time management problems, skip the logical-sequence-of-sentences type of questions(It takes 2 minutes for me to do them, and I can’t even get them right half the time)
5)Keep doing #3 until you get a 36.

For Math:
I didn’t really improve my score since I already had a 36. Still, I recommend you to study more advanced math (it’s not really necessary ,though) and solve #50-60(hard ones) kind of questions until you get a 36.

For Reading:
This one is the hardest one for me. I just run out of time but ,I believe ,I figured it out.

1)If you also run out of time, do only 3 passages and guess the rest.(Check which one you do the worst on and skip that one.)
2)Note the key parts of the questions on the passage page(ex:“What are the advantages of hybrid cars?” and you write down:“advantages of hybrid”).
3)As you spot the answers of your questions, go back and mark the right letter.
4)For the main idea questions, read the first and the last sentences of each paragraph(if the passage is blurry in your mind)
5)As you practice you will have more time to spend on the passage you skipped.

For Science:

1)Do the Scientist-Comparison passages at the end.Do the short ones first.
2)You, most probably, won’t have much background about the passages. Therefore, I recommend you to read the info at the beginning quickly. Then, go to the questions and use the graphs and everything else to answer the questions.
3)You might need to read some more, occasionally. Don’t destroy your brain trying to get the answer from the graph.
4)Practice until you get a 36.

My strategies might not work for you and not even for me. You realize what is best for you as you practice. Never feel disappointed if you get a low score somehow. Those who got 36 didn’t born as ACT-Masters; they became one.Keep practicing.

Please inform me if I made a mistake with punctuation.
