Thank You!

Are you in the honors transfer program? if not, I suggest you are in it. El camino is hit heavily by the budget cut. You might not get the classes you want unless you have priority registration. Also, did you do the assessment placement test?

I am in HTP and I am going to take the placement test this week.

don’t assume you’ll get placed into calc. in fact, (I’m not positive) but I think 180 is the highest you can test into unless you 5’d ap calc.

should I take 180 and 190 over the summer?

i don’t think you can take them simultaneously b/c one is a pre-req for the other. elco is very picky about that. hopefully you will/can be able to test into 190…

Just remember - you can always petition to get into full classes. Most professors will at least consider it.

the upper math classes are especially tough to crash with all the cuts. i was very glad last semester in my calc 190 class to be registered, because there were a total of 70 people in the class on the first day - half of which were attempting to add.

well thanks for the help. ill update after i take the test. hopefully I do well and my schedule doesn’t get messed up

you can always retake and i think they take the higher of the placements.

yeah they say only twice and I already took it once before last year…not cool
