Need help; screwed up big time

I'll get straight to the story and then maybe someone could help me out here.

Back in Feburary I made sure to get do my FAFSA, CSS Profile, etc. I had received two packages since then. One from Fordham University and the other from Penn State at University Park. Time went by and I figured well the colleges probably haven't gotten to mail it out yet. So I waited and waited and finally I decided to call on Monday to see what had happened. Mind you I applied to 14 colleges so that meant I had to do a lot of corrections to the FAFSA. For whatever reason when I made the corrections I must have forgotten to include some schools.

So you get an idea here are the schools I applied to and the results:
SUNY Albany Accepted
SUNY Oneonta Accepted
SUNY Buffalo Accepted
CUNY Baruch C Accepted
U Vermont Accepted
Old Dominion U Accepted
Penn State Accepted
Bowling Green SU Accepted
Fordham Accepted
Elon in NC Accepted
SUNY Geneseo Deferred
U South Car Deferred
Northeastern Rejected
New York University Rejected

Well needless to say that I got screwed over big time because 3 of the schools that I did send the FAFSA rejected me. The other 5 got it but only two(FU and PSU) of them ever got back to me to with official packages while one (UVM) of them required more paper work which I didn't know until just last week. (Fortunately UVM was nice enough to give me an estimate of what I would receive which helps out a lot.) The other one required one form to determine if I was an in-state student or not and to make it worse they never mailed me about it so I didn't find out until I called them this week. So I made some calls this Monday and the schools that didn't receive my FAFSA said I was never on file. I called FAFSA and they told me I never put those schools down although I have a pdf file stating otherwise. So right after that call I made the corrections and it was processed the next night (tuesday). Good thing is that many of the schools said that it shouldn't count against me because they'll know when I started filing the FAFSA even if I haven't send out the FAFSA to them. The bad news is that some of them might take a while to come up with packages (a couple weeks some say). And May 1st is right around the corner and I don't have the slightest clue where I want to go.

In terms of Fin-Aid offers here is what I know:
Uni. of Vermont
Fin-Aid= 38,735 (4,065 loans)
Cost= 36,542

Penn State
Fin-Aid= 8,925 (2,625 loans)
Cost= 31,242

Bowling Green SU
Scholarship= 15,852
Cost= 22,391 (and maybe + 3,180)

Fordham Uni.
Fin-Aid= 35,957 (7,575 loans)
Cost= 35,977

I've visited the following schools:
Uni of Vermont, Fordham Uni. (I lived in the area for a good portion of my life and still travel pass it all the time; even at that I'm going to have an official visit this Sunday), CUNY Baruch, SUNY Oneonta, and Northeastern. I'll be visiting SUNY Albany hopefully this Saturday.

Ok so many of the schools I just couldn't visit because they are too far and I don't have a car nor anyway of going to the other schools. In fact only reason I'm going to be visiting SUNY Albany is because I have a friend who is going there and he offered to take me along.

I haven't made a decision yet. One thing I wanted out of college though was the ability to dorm and none of the New York City schools I applied to offered dorming to me since I'm a Bronx resident. I want to be able to get the most of the college experience and there's no better way to do that then by living on campus. I also wanted to be able to experience something new by going somewhere I've never been before.

I don't know what to do. After I got rejected from the one school (Northeastern) I was focused on attending I didn't really have a second choice. Maybe NYU could have been that school but I didn't really think I'd get in.

So here I am. Don't know where I want to go. Don't have all my financial aid packages and probably won't get them until after May 1st. So what do I do? If anyone can tell me about the schools I listed that I haven't visited yet it would be very helpful since I don't know a great deal about the campuses or what life is like in those towns.

I'm looking to do business by the way if that helps at all.

On a side note: I might try to transfer out after a year to Northeastern but that of course is a maybe because I don't know what can happen a year from now. I may like it where ever I go.

That's it I think. Thanks in advance for any advice.

just wanted to bump this before it kept getting deeper into the next page.

If you can't make a decision because you're still waiting to hear about aid, you can ask the colleges to extend your deadline about the decision.

SUNY Albany - expect a lot of concrete, but open your eyes to see the beautiful parts of the campus too! everyone is extremely friendly when I go down there, and they have a great honors program + lots of internship opps.
SUNY Oneonta - i don't know much about this school except it's in a VERY small town, is hilly and is often referred to as 'stone-onta' ... depends what you want to make of it.

SUNY Buffalo - i'm assuming you mean UB? i have a handful of friends that go there, and they LOVE it, although it is pretty big! Most people dorm 4 to a room. tons of opportunities here! lots of on/off campus jobs/internships etc.

UVM (i know you visited this but just adding my two cents) - burlington is a very small city compared to some of the others you listed, but it's very earthy and has a unique feel to it.

let me know how your decision making winds up!

go to BG!!!

Yea that's something I've heard about Albany too - the campus being concrete. I also got a call from a student at UB and she was very nice answering my questions. Even though I haven't seen Buffalo she was good answering questions about campus life and the local town. it doesn't sound much like a city to me at least from what she explained since everything required some kind of transportation outside of campus. But she also gave a lot of pros to the area and campus.

You say go to BG but why?

I dunno, I'm going there! They also have good humanties programs.
