I dont know if anyone else is currently in this situation - but I am applying to UVa early action as it is my top choice, and I logged into the SIS which is supposed to inform me of my application status. Before logging in, I was under the impression that I had completed all necessary information, sent SATs and school forms. But to my shock, my application was incomplete because I am supposed to send "official" transcripts from summer enrichment programs I have attended - which I listed on the common app. For example, the summer before my 9th grade I went to CTY at John's Hopkins and UVa (unlike any other school I am applying to) insists that I find an official transcript and send it to them by November 1. First, I didnt even get an official transcript from my participation, and I don't know how to track one down. These "enrichment programs" which I labeled them on the common app were not taken for HS credit and I do not intend to use them for college credit...I am just really confused why UVa wants an official transcript, and how to even find one. Has anyone else faced this issue? If so I really need help as I am kind of freaking out - UVa is my clear top choice but I dont know what to do. Thanks for all of your help.

If you put a school down as one in which you were enrolled, the system will automatically want a transcript from that school.

Don’t panic. Just email uvaapplicationinfo@virginia.edu and explain. The item can be removed from your checklist.

thank you so much Dean J. I can, and will send my transcript from community college where I took one class, but I will email and explain that the other two were enrichment programs and no grades are available. The transcript that I will send will be sent through the mail, do you see any issue with it getting to UVa on time, and being processed before the EA deadline if I send it tonight? Or should I send a scanned unofficial version via email to be safe?

No need to rush. I’m sure it’ll get here in time.
