Need help studying for AP Psychology!

Hey everyone! I’m a sophomore who is taking AP psychology and I can’t tell you the first thing about psychology. This is partly because I’m taking the class online and I didn’t realize how horrible it is online and the test is in about 4 weeks. I’m kind of worried since this is my first AP class and there’s only 4 weeks left to study. The only thing I own is the Princeton AP psychology review book which was delivered recently but, is this enough to pass the test? If not, what are things I can do so I can pass the test?

AP teacher and tutor here: AP Psych is basically a giant vocab test. So definitely make sure you understand and can use the vocab in context. I know a great AP Psych tutor if you’re interested. Just message me

memorize, memorize, memorize. vocab, vocab, vocab.
It is imperative that you know a ton of information and that you can distinguish it from another theory, person, or example that seems similar. Kids say this is an easier AP but only if you have been presented a lot of the information prior. I liked the 5 Steps to a 5 when I was quizzing my kid but your book is probably good as well. Make sure to break it down by what to study each week and then each day. Study diagrams once a week also. Surprisingly some questions on the exam were similar and some seemed easier on the test than those I was quizzing with from that book

The Princeton Review book is definitely a great resource, so I would steadily go through it leading up to the AP exam. AP Psych is also not the most difficult AP, so as long as you are dedicating time to break down anything you have a hard time understanding/remembering, you should be okay. If you want a resource that you can take on the go, Fiveable (https://fiveable.me) does online review sessions for AP Psych every week. It might be something to look into if you want some extra help. I would also do as readthetealeaves said, as making a study plan might work best!

Can you let me know their information?
