My high school freshman daughter is really interested in animation. I don’t know of any programs, etc that would help her during her high school years. She’s very strong academically and takes Art as one of her electives. What else can she do now to learn and do more with animation in her high school years so when she’s ready to apply to colleges she’s solid?
Might want to ask some of the animation applicants what they did in high school:

Art is a solid foundation especially things such as AP Studio Art is offered there. If possible, look into if there are any further design classes such as web design or computer classes due to animation being heavily reliant on those nowadays. It also wouldn’t hurt to take a digital photography class either.
