Need help updating Extracurricular file

I would like to update my extracurricular file(new internship, activities, awards etc), there is a provision for this within the applicant portal.

However the following discouraging message also appears.

"Only a limited selection of documents (included in the drop-down list below) may be uploaded here by the applicant, as needed.
-Application Essay "

This gives the impression that other materials are not welcome.

Please advise.

I would send them an email asking if I could send the update, noting that it is not an application essay.
