Need help- Villanova or Creighton >.<

So far I have been accepted to both schools and will be majoring in biology (pre med). However, to Creighton I receieved a large scholarship and to Villanova nothing. Villanova is a very expensive school and I am wondering if it is truly worth the cost. Would I have a better shot suceeding at Creighton? (I know pre-med is very grade heavy). Or is Villanova's program strength more than worth the extra expense? Any help and information is much appreciated!

Creighton is a gem of a school. Its Jesuit and that has its own benefits, outside of biology and premed programs. I know someone who went to Creighton Prep and another who is a retired FBI agent who went to Creighton and Creighton Law.

I dont know where you are from and what you are looking for in a college. Its true that Villanova is very highly regarded and ranked (#1 Masters-North, USNWR) and is highly selective. Its a gorgeous campus just outside Philadelphia. Its Catholic with a superb basketball team. Its preppy. Omaha is well....Omaha. Its not the garden spot on the map. Its very gritty and blue collar. Railroad Junction. But I would not dismiss that scholarship lightly. And Creighton has good connections for med schools. If finances are a concern for you and your family, then I would accept that scholarship and run with it....for at least a year. And see how you feel about it then.....I normally tell kids it takes TWO full years at a school to really know if you made a good decision or a mistake (for those who contemplate transfering). And you will be plenty challenged at Creighton.

That is my assessment.
