I’m looking into majoring in biomedical engineering and need to choose a one period science for next year. AP Physics C was my original choice but I heard that it’s hard to keep an A in the class and the teacher really isn’t that great. AP Environmental looks like a fun class that could boost my gpa and give me more time for college applications, but I don’t know if it would look as good to the schools I’m applying to. I’m planning to take AP Lit, Macro, Calc, and an engineering capstone class alongside whichever science I choose
For engineering, take physics. It will help you immensely in college to have that foundation.
AP Physics C (or AP Physics 1 if you’ve not taken Physics HOnors or AP Physics 1 yet.)
And, yes, AP PHysics C is hard, but it’s a good taste of what Engineering will be like.
Since you are planning to major in engineering, physics is important. So try to take AP Physics C. In my school, the physics teacher also isn’t very great. You just be willing to set some time aside to study independently for physics. But again physics is very important to your major so it’s a sacrifice that is needed.
