I am about to be a junior and I cannot choose between three classes--AP Computer Science, AP Biology and AP Physics B. I want to take two of these classes, but I don't know which ones to choose. I am pretty confident that I will take AP Physics B because I am interested in Physics and know that the teacher is good (there is no AP Physics C at my school). I will be taking a few other AP classes, including Calculus AB, Lang, and USH. I don't know if I will be able to handle taking both AP Bio and Physics B along with these other AP's, although I managed to get all A's in my Sophomore year while taking 5 Honors courses (how much harder are AP's?). I have no experience programming anything, but I am interested in possibly pursuing computer science in college. I don't know what I want to major in; probably either something computer science/physics-related or bio/chem, maybe engineering. I need help, and I would appreciate any advice, thank you

Are you aware that AP Physics B is no longer going to be a course next year? It’s either AP Physics B 1 or 2.

If you haven’t taken any Physics yet, I’d go with AP Physics 1. If you have, maybe take AP Computer Science and whichever AP science you find easier. You yourself said you weren’t sure if you could handle both AP Physics and AP Bio together, so don’t risk getting poor grades.Try asking people who have taken them about how hard the classes are :)

Take AP Physics B (if it’s still offered) and AP Bio; You need java programming experience if you want to go into comp sci; take it’s prerequisite if you can next year. Hope that helps!

thanks for the advice. I was not aware of the physics change next year. It turns out that my school will be offering AP Physics 1.

my school doesn’t have a prerec for comp sci; people without java experience go straight into it. How hard would it be for me? Is it one of those things where you’re either good at it or really bad?
