@dodgersmom Yeah, USF didn’t offer me any other aid besides the scholarship, so I wasn’t offered work study or anything. I called the financial aid office a couple of weeks ago to see if I could appeal (I couldn’t) and they said that job applications go up in July, so I’ll be keeping my eye out for them if I choose USF (which seems pretty likely at this point but I’m still torn between UCI and USF). And working for a local business sounds like a ton of fun actually lol. I feel like it might be harder to not work directly on campus but it’s good to know that that’s an option as well! Thanks for all of the tips, btw!
Look at a map - USF is really close to several different streets with all kinds of different businesses.
Any chance you’re close enough to either campus to be able to visit in the next few days?
@dodgersmom can’t visit again before Friday, but I’ve been to both schools for accepted students days in the past month. I’m leaning towards UCI now because of the academics but I’m still not completely sure. I have to decide by Wednesday, though (parents and I want to have enough time to do housing apps and not be stressed about that), so we’ll see what happens
Good luck!!! Come back and let us know what you decide . . .
@dodgersmom just wanted to let you know that I chose USF, and I’ll be headed there in the fall unless I’m accepted off of UCLA’s waitlist!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
