Partial High School Transcript ******* ******* High School 01-NOV-2011

SAT or ACT Test Scores 07-NOV-2011

Your application is currently under review. A final decision will be made shortly and you will be notified by mail of the decision.

If you have applied as a freshman, and have not already done so, please request that your guidance counselor submit an updated official transcript to our office. Additionally, if you have retaken the SAT and/or ACT recently, or you plan to do so, be sure that you have requested your official scores be sent to USF.

If you have applied as a transfer student, and you have not submitted all of your completed college or university coursework, please do so as soon as possible.

What does it mean when it says "If you have applied as a freshman, and have not already done so, please request that your guidance counselor submit an updated official transcript to our office". Do I need to do anything else? I'm nervous because It seems like it has taken a long time to get a response while my friends have gotten their responses rather quickly.

No you’re good. It’s just saying that if you haven’t sent your transcripts send them. Or if for some reason after Christmas break when semester grades go in, your GPA went up and you want them to see that one instead of the old one, then resend your transcripts. Good Luck!

Are you in-state or OOS (out of state)?
(Out of State sometimes takes longer than In-state)

Did you apply for summer term, or fall term?
(I’ve been hearing that summer term acceptance are being given out starting after Thanksgiving)

Also, did your friends apply before you, or at the same time?
(The later on in the semester that you apply, the more students that admissions have to sort through when giving decisions, November is one of the busier months for admissions offices. Thus the longer wait time.)

You just need your counselor to send your transcripts in electronically. That’s the long wait, the transcripts are uploaded to a server and USF only updates from the server a few times a month. Once they do get everything though, I got my decision via OASIS within 24 hours, same with my friend who applied a few days after I did for fall term.

Why don’t you just phone USF admissions today, 813 974-3350, and ask if they have everything they need from you–ask if they now have the transcript they need from you or do you need to send them another transcript. If USF needs a new transcript, ask your school to send USF one asap.

Thanks lizard, I just called them. They said I should be good and that they just mark transcripts as partial when they first get them. Hopefully I get a decision soon, It’s been a while :p
