Need help with Bus Lines from Ucla to Burbank

Hey guys. I am going to be living on campus this year without a car. I live in Burbank now and would like to be able to go home monthly to help my mom out with stuff around house, etc and not have to bother people to come pick me up and then bring me back to campus.

I don't know much about the Metro or any bus lines here in LA country. What buses do you recommend that will take me from UCLA/Westwood to Burbank. Some one mentioned to me the Metro Rapid Bus 761, but that drops outside of Burbank and would need to find a connecting route.

Does anybody have any experience taking public transport between Burbank and UCLA? Additionally, what is the best way to purchase a monthly pass to take said buses. Is there a discount for being a UCLA student, etc?

Thanks for your help.

Have fun, my roommate says it’s a 2 hr ride.

not sure if this will help much, but:

I’ve taken the subway line from Universal Studios to the Wilshire and Vermont stop, which is near downtown LA. Then from Wilshire/Vermont you can take the Metro Rapid 720 to Wilshire and Westwood, and another bus to the campus near Lot 6 (Ackerman) or walk some many blocks to campus. But that would be quite the journey. Try searching for a metro trip planner and see if there’s a better way
