Okay, so I have now been accepted to all the schools I applied to, however after seeing my financial aid awards, I can only truly consider 5 of the 13 I got accepted to. Those 5 are:
UNC Chapel Hill
Duke
Vanderbilt
U Miami
Boston University
I’m a bio major on the premed track. Having a good and fun college experience is very important to me wherever I go too.
If anyone has any advice or opinions or tips on where they would go or their experiences with any of these schools, please reply! This is gonna be a very hard decision and i want to hear what others have to say about these schools.
It’s also important to note that I got the full tuition Singer Scholarship at Miami and am in the Honors Program there as well. And a 25k Presidential Scholarship at BU if that matters.
Hey I actually have seen you on Zeemee! Congratulations on all of your acceptances! I also applied to Duke and Vanderbilt and I think I am going to Chapel Hill. I didn’t get in Duke or Vanderbilt but I know quite a bit about these schools. If I was in your position I would follow the money! Being a part of a scholarship program makes you stand out compared to being a part of the regular pool at larger universities. I love Chapel Hill and North Carolina in general, I live there and the weather and atmosphere is really nice. I think you should prioritize what matters to you most. Do you want to end up with student debt or go into a higher ranked university with a larger debt? Do you want to be far away or close to home? Even considering little details matters! No matter where you go I am sure you will be successful! I know that Chapel Hill and Vandy have a good balance of work hard, play hard and Duke is a little more reserved in that regard. UM is a big party school too, but you will probably be able to find that balance there and at BU between studying and having a good college experience. Good luck and hoped this helped!
I agree with the person above. UM is not a very studious environment over all - something to consider. BU is a good option with study balance but it is in a city with no real campus.
Duke and Vanderbilt are also amazing options. I don’t know anyone who didnt like duke and everyone I know says its the prettiest campus they’ve seen. Also has a good party work balance. good luck!!
I would love to know where you chose !?? And how you like it.
Please update !!
