Need help with Degrees

Here goes my situation:
I am 25 years old. I graduated from Marquette University with a double major in Supply Chain Managment and IT, and a minor in Psyc. I have four Fortune 100 companies on my resume (3 from summer jobs and internships during the summer and school, and the other one I had for about a year). I went to law school because the timing was right and I finished my first year of law school. At this point, I am still entertaining the option of returning to the business side of things partially because I had a decent resume building.

So, I am wondering if there are many careers out the in business world where its mainly a business job but legal knowledge is beneficial? If so, what are they? If not, should I look at an MBA to get a stronger business resume? My main concern is that I do not want to get back into business and be seen as a guy with some good experience, rather, I would want to go back as a guy with good experience with a beneficial degree. My other BIG concern is that I had a pretty decent resume building and I am afraid of "throwing" that experience away. Essentially, I would like to know if there is any way I can continue to build my resume without COMPLETELY neglecting my JD??

I need some help. Thanks

Two words: corporate lawyer.
Or be a legal analyst for a major company.

Best of luck!

You probably shouldn't bother with a JD if you want a business job.

You know, a lot of people take a law degree and never take the bar. It is a good degree for general business. You need to decide if you want to practise law or have the legal credentials as part of your general skills. If you do not have a great need to practise law, then taking your law degree at night while working (in business) would seem to be a good idea. Some schools offer a joint law/mba at night. And with a year of law school, you are ahead of the game.

Not that many people get law degrees with no intention of practicing law, and it's probably not going to help you get many non-law/politics jobs. Whatever benefit you might derive almost certainly wouldn't be worth the cost.

SOOO, can you work at some top company doing something business- related while having a law degree (but not being a practicing attorney)? Please elaborate, as I'm relatively new to the idea that having a law degree does not mean you have to become a lawyer (this sounds interesting)

Quitting law school is not an option at this point. I have finished my first year and you understand the law school experience, I am about halfway through the experience. No matter what the JD does for me, I really wanted a higher education. Right now, I would like to know if there are any jobs out there where its both law and business but more focused on business.
