Need help with FAFSA Pin

<p>My oldest is a senior in high school. I know he needs a pin for the FAFSA. Do both parents also need a pin or does just 1 parent get a pin? Where do you go to get this pin? What kinds of information are needed before applying for it? </p>

<p>I know I read somewhere that you should apply for the pin before filling out the FAFSA. Can we apply for the pin now? </p>
