Need help with GPA

I am an international student. my school calculates GPA on both 4 and 5 scales for students applying to diff countries. On the 4 scale, my GPA is 3.805 and on the 5 scale, my GPA is 4.615. Which one should I report?
Also how is this GPA for top 20 schools?

In general, you should use a 4.0 scale. The college to which you apply will also get your transcripts, and figure out where your grades stand relative to your school.

In general a 3.8 is on the low side for the most popular schools, but not out of range, especially if it means that you are in the top 10% of your high school.

However, as an international student the competition is much fiercer, and a 3.8 may not be high enough to be very competitive for colleges with acceptance rates below 20%

Most schools will recalculate your GPA.

They typically use unweighted GPA.

You appear to be grasping for straws and begging for someone to confirm that you will get in.
Apply, but you have to know that your chances are limited.

Every strong, stellar domestic student applies to the Top 20.
Every international student from every country applies to the Top 20 with stronger grades and tests. That’s thousands of students for a very small number of seats.

No one on this forum can guarantee that you will get into the top 20 schools. More often than not, we can strongly suggest that you will probably be rejected.

Didn’t you already apply last year? You’re asking for a waiver.
You are international. Your scores are not perfect, which is what those schools expect as a minimum.
