Need help with Harvard Summer School Tuition

Hi,
My guidance counselor told me that summer school from a prestigious university was a must for college acceptance, but the tuition is too high for my budget. Are there any suggestions on where I can gather the money or find financial aid?
Thanks

Summer school at a prestigious university is not a must for college admission. Your guidance counselor is mistaken or you misunderstood him/her.

Your guidance counselor is absolutely wrong.

Sally Rubenstone, College Confidential’s Dean, has answered several threads on the topic of summer school programs. Please read:

That being said, Harvard Summer School does offer financial aid, however, you would have needed to apply by April 6th. See: http://www.summer.harvard.edu/programs/ssp/tuition/finaid.jsp
