Need help with math question.

Ok so this question is from a QAS. There is a xy plane and there is a downward facing parabola. The points given are (0,10), (7,10), (-1.5,0), and (t,0). Question says to find t for this graph of a quadratic function. How do I do this?

Not really a math person, but I think the axis (centerline?) of the parabola must occur where x=3.5, since the first two points you list would be equidistant from that line. The two points on the x-axis will also be equidistant from that line. Since the one is 5 units away, the second will be 5 units away as well. So, t=8.5.

I think.

Oh alright thanks. That’s the right answer
