Need help with my College List!

So I’m a Senior in Highschool from New Jersey, and I am struggling in my college picking process.
I have a 26 on my ACTS
My GPA is a 2.86
My School does not RANK
I want to major in accounting/business
I have volunteered for the Red Cross Association and will volunteer over the summer for the Liberty Science Center.
I will be wrestling for 4 years of highschool after next year.
I am Asian

My Current List is:

  • Rowan
  • Rutgers
  • Rider University
  • Stockton University
  • Montclair State University

I need two more REACH schools.
My decisions are limited due to my low GPA.

Assuming irks 2.86 unweighted, something like 3.0 weighted : run the NPC on…
Unc Wilmington, Appalachian State, Unc Charlotte, Christopher Newport, UMW, Towson, Suny Cortland, Suny Oswego, Suny New Paltz, Moravian, Arcadia, Lycoming, Lebanon Valley, St Bonaventure, Molloy, Virginia Wesleyan, Washington and Jefferson, Baldwin Wallace, John Carroll, Hiram .
You may even have shot at a 2+2 with Penn State Altoona or Harrisburg if you apply ‘dus’.
If it’s 2.86 weighted, the list changes.
Depending on your budget there may be other choices.

You could also consider La Salle. I’m a freshman there, it’s pretty well-known in PA/NJ. We have a new business building, too!

The 2.86 is unweighted.
My school has a different scale compared to other schools.
A 2.77 is a B- and a 3.0 is a B.
So my 2.86 is a little above a B- but below a B.
B- = 80-82.99
B = 83-86.99

Don’t feel pressured to add reaches. You have a solid list. If you are happy with the schools, no reason to add.

Since it appears you would like to stay in NJ, maybe add TCNJ if you want a reach, and maybe William Paterson?

Rutgers I believe would be a reach for you due to your ACT and GPA. I think you list is pretty balanced!
