Need help with Penn state and Rutgers, Stony and Albany

<p>Well I'm applying to those school, their are certain things i just simply cant find.
For penn state i cant find the teacher recommendation form and what the essay has to be about (not applying to Honors). For Rutgers the essay has to be done through their online application but cant find the recommendation form that teacher needs to fill out. For Stony Brook i cant find the supplement found the recommendation. For Albany i found the supplement but cant find the recommendation form that Stony and Binghamton University use. </p>

<p>there is no teacher recommendation form for penn state you just send the recommendations that your teachers write...</p>

<p>there is no essay. however, there is a personal statement and you should be able to find it as a link on the online application.</p>

<p>there is no recommendation form for rutgers either.</p>

<p>You can only access the Stony Brook supplemental application once you have submitted your SUNY Application. They will send you a pin # or user ID to access the SOLAR site where you can fill out the app online. The supplemental form is not used for admissions decision though. Just to get into certain areas (ie. WISE, Honors College,...).</p>

<p>honestly I don't even think rutgers and penn state require them since I was accepted to rutgers and they didn't list recommendations as something they received/needed and same with penn state cept my decision is still pending.</p>

<p>For Albany Supplemental Applications are required.
Stony Brook's isn't required. It is for:
* Merit Scholarships
* The Honors College
* WISE (Women In Science and Engineering)
* Scholars for Medicine
* The Honors Program in Computer Science</p>

<p>I just checked on Binghamton's website and supplementals are required.</p>

<p>I have an 86 AVG should i take a chance applying to Stony Honors and Rutgers honors or would it be a waste??...</p>

<p>wha tare your SATs? i know rutgers requires t least a 1350 to get automatic consideration for honors...if you applied to honors with less than that you'd need a super strong application essay and recommendations if you were to apply to honors considering how weak/strong your SATs and GPA are</p>

<p>well i got a 1260 the first time i took it on all 3 sections..i took it again in NOV expecting a 1700+..</p>

<p>i know rutgers doenst look at the writing so i say you can apply get some really strong recommendations and write a really great essay (its something about like......knowing something by its name but researching in depth?) but even still rutgers is a decent school without honors. it doesnt hurt to apply =) I'm thinking of applying but I'm lazy boooo.</p>

<p>same here i'm lazy as well..i just finished my Penn state apps..and i'm writing my Albany Essay and my Bing essay should be done by tomorrow..My brother went to Stony he said not to apply if i dont meet their criteria...</p>

<p>Also how do i get the counselor that has to be sent out with my transcript i found the Stony Brook one but cant find Bing or Albany...I did find one after i finished my application where i can list all the Suny schools i applied to can i use that one??...</p>

<p>I've decided not to apply to Stony Honors, so i dont have to fill out a supplement. I'm all done with Stony since i did the online application for SUNY. No need to fill out supplement or letter of recommendation, all i got to do is now just send a check..But for Albany and Bing i still have to fill out a supplement and letter of recommendation..And for Penn state and Rutgers all i do is send out one letter of recommendation in sealed envolpe...Thnx for all the help and yes i'm a bit paranoid...</p>

<p>That was supposed to be printed out after you filled your SUNY application online. It had most of the information filled in, but since you didn't...</p>

<p>hey guys im looking for the binghamton letters of reccomendation i submitted the online app already but i cant find the letters of reccomendation forom them, i found the stony brook ones, yes im applying to honors for both...</p>

<p>oh wait am i supposed to get an email giving me a login for SOLAR? because i havent gotten one yet</p>
