I really need help finding good schools to apply to. Right now I am unsure of what would be considered safeties/matches/reaches for me. Can anyone suggest a few of each please? Thanks so much!

Cost/financial aid isn't important. I like bigger schools (10,000 and up), but certainly willing to look in the 4000-7000 range. I would prefer to look on the East Coast, and really nothing below South Carolina. I want to study either business or communications

Your post is confusing. If your unweighted is 3.7, then how is your weighted as high as is allowed? And how is weighted out of 4.0 anyway?

Is cost unimportant
because you’re loaded? (great - congrats)
because you don’t mind loans so you can go to your dream school? (very bad - many posts talk about saddling yourself with lifelong crushing debt)
because you’re so broke that all schools will give you a ton of money? (most won’t - just because you can’t afford it doesn’t mean that the schools will cover the gap)

What state are you located? Since you are wanting a larger university, start with looking at your state schools. And are you looking for a more urban university, or a “ra ra school”? James Madison U. comes to mind, Wake Forest, Penn State.

GeekMom - I don’t know, my school calculates weighted GPA out of 4 as well. Basically I have a 95 weighted, 90 unweighted. And without sounding like a jerk yes my parents can afford full tuition, so that is what I mean by cost is unimportant.

And yes, I do like a “ra ra” school, but I am seriously willing to consider smaller options, like 4000 and up as well

I really didn’t have a huge problem making the adjustment. Sure there are a bunch of differences. People talk weird (southern accent), what people eat is a lot different (lots of meat/fried food), the weather is a lot different (really warm) and people just act different than people in the north (on a whole a lot nicer). Some people from New England make the adjustment really well, some people don’t so it’s hard to say. For me, I came to the south open-minded and was ready to experience life in the south. For others, they are used to their way of life in New England and could never adjust

Football, basketball and baseball are huge sports at Clemson. We haven’t done that well in football recently but we have some really good freshman this year and things are looking up. The basketball team has made the NCAA tournament every year in recent memory and the baseball team was in the college world series 2 years ago. I’m in an organization called Central Spirit at Clemson and it’s for people who are passionate about Clemson athletics. We go to every sport, women’s basketball to rowing to baseball. Met a lot of friends there and it’s a lot of fun!
