What are some goods things to add as "contributions" for a college essay. Many college essay ptompts requrie applicants to say how will they contribute to the school.

What are you passionate about? Community Service? Ministry? Theatre? Volunteer Work? Music? Science? History? Basically, pick what you love to do the most, or your most valued skills, and figure out how you would fit into the school. For extra help, look at the college’s Clubs, Student groups, etc. And describe how you would match yourself to them.

Also consider which personal traits of yours will make you an asset to a college community. Do you have a great sense of humor? Are you easy-going and don’t sweat the small stuff? Are you honest without being unduly blunt? Do you get along well with others? (Colleges are often especially interested in “bridge-builders”–those students who have friends in different “groups”–whether the groups are racial groups, ethnic, socioeconomic or perhaps the “jocks” and the “geeks” alike–and who will not only move fluidly among them but who will also promote harmony among them.)
