I did okay in both Reading and Math sections (not great, but I'm okay with those scores), but my writing score was pretty low, 590. Does anyone have any ways to improve my writing score? I got an 11/12 on my essay, but the multiple choice killed me. I took an SAT prep class and did most of the practice tests in the College Board's SAT prep book before I took the SAT in November, are there any other books/websites that you could recommend to improve writing?

Check out Barrons or Rocket Review.... Barrons helped my friend go from 690 to 740 or something, and Rocket Review brought me from 630 to 730. Keep in mind that neither of us ever even touched the College Board Blue Book, so prepping with that should definitely boost your score even more. Oh, and btw, both of us prepped lightly for about 2 weeks... If you ask me, the writing MC section is the easiest to raise your score in, since you just need to learn some grammar, so I think you're in luck ^^

lol...seriously I can get 800 in writing and 800 in math...

BUT WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING! I SUCK! First time I took the test I got a 480 with no prep (8 essay), then I went to a 530 (9 essay), finally to a 680 with some prep (10 essay). In Janurary im hoping for a 700+...
