need help with this one math question

<p>In triangle PQR above, QS/QV = 1/3 and PT/PR = 3/4
What is the value of the fraction (area of triangle PST)/(area of triangle PQR)?</p>

<p>Let QS=1, QV=3, PT=3 and PR=4. Then SV=2. So area PST=1/2<em>3</em>2=3, and area PQR=1/2<em>4</em>3=6. Hope that helps</p>
