Need help with tranferring info

I'm an FIU student currently and due to some (good) financial news as well as a reevaluation of what I want to study, I'm intensely interested in the FSU film school, (and possibly later on graduate school).

I'm currently in my second semester of college and I'll have 38 credits by the end of the spring term. I want to transfer to FSU as a general undergrad student and finish my "first two years" there, followed by applying to the film major, which according to the FSU site only accepts 5 transfer students, so I feel I'd have a better chance at getting in as a resident student.

I have a few questions about the actual application process:

Are my chances hindered if I apply as intending a motion picture/film major?
How long are SAT scores valid for/do they look at my SAT scores. The last time I took them was in November 2008, same goes for ACT. Should I schedule those tests?

The site says the deadline for transfer applications for Fall 2010 is March 1st, and the next SAT possibility is in March, after the applications are due. Am I too late? Should I be applying for spring instead?

Sadly I don't have an AA so I know my chances are already very low. Would it help more if I transferred as an 'English Major' and then change it to Film after initial acceptance?

Any tips on what I should have on my application would help.
