I'm looking at top schools to apply to (top 40 ranking). However, i am undecided on my major (engineering vs. Arts & sciences). Can someone tell me what colleges have easy transfer between the two branches?

I'd personally recommend taking a Liberal Arts approach in your situation. That way you don't have to worry about transferring between schools.

Some top LACs to consider: Pomona College (CA), Amherst College (MA), Carleton College (MN), Swarthmore College (PA), Williams College (MA), Reed College (OR), Vassar College (NY), Oberlin College (OH), Bowdoin College (ME), Washington & Lee University (VA), Haverford College (PA), Wesleyan University (CT), Middlebury College (VT), Macalester College (MN), Hamilton College (MA), Grinnell College (IA), Scripps College (CA), Claremont McKenna College (CA), Colby College (ME), Bates College (ME), Kenyon College (OH), Davidson College (NC), Connecticut College (CT), Colgate University (NY), Lewis & Clark College (OR), Colorado College (CO), Gettsyburg College (PA), Wheaton College (MA), Whitman College (WA), Hampshire College (MA), Beloit College (WI), Kalamazoo College (MI), Trinity College (CT), Dickinson College (PA), Occidental College (CA), College of the Holy Cross (MA), College of the Atlantic (ME), St. Olaf College (MN), Skidmore College (NY), Lafayette College (PA).

If you'd like a school where you'd have an opportunity to major in engineering, there are also several LACs where you can do that (however, it's more limited): Swarthmore College (PA), Scripps College (CA), Claremont McKenna College (CA), Bates College (ME), Gettysburg College (PA), Wheaton College (IL), Beloit College (WI), Trinity College (CT), Lafayette College (PA), Loyola College in Maryland (MD), Juniata College (PA).
