need help

So, I am an OOS student who only has to pay room and board to go to LSU.

Obviously, this is probably one of the cheapest deals for college (my parents dont wish to contribute to my college fund, so the debts all on me >.>)

I want to become a chemist, and eventually want to go to grad school for chemistry, and I was wondering if anyone has any information on how LSU graduate preform in getting into top graduate schools like MIT, or Berkley?

Any help would be thanked.

P.S. If anyone has any information on how the honors program is veiwed, or how great honors housing is, ect. that information would be warmly welcomed as well.

Thanks.

Top LSU graduates get into top grad schools. I don’t think it hurts the chances for students that are sufficiently driven. Keep a high GPA, find a prof, do some research, etc.

Honors housing should be nice next semester, if West Laville is finished. East Laville is older, but larger, and there’s a nice community feel to the dorm.

Honors is mostly a community and a couple nice things; it’s viewed well, but it’s hard to finish with Honors if you’re a science/engineering/math major.

Hope that helps.
