Need helping improving my score dramatically did really bad

Nope, the two sides MUST BE greater. There's a nice probability you'll see a question like "Which sets of 3 sides is not a triangle?"

you would really benefit from a tutor and/or just creating a list of things you need to study like the math terms and review them until you know them by heart.

Damn, I really do suck at math.

al620 how would you solve that question

It would be the one where it doesn't add up propaly?

100 is the original value
90 is the new value
10 has been taken away

When doing the percentage change, you always divide by the original value, so its 10/100, 10%. It has gone down by 10%.

In the other case

90 is the original value
100 is the new value
change is 10

Okay, but now we're dividing the change by 90. 90 is a smaller number than 100, so the change is GREATER. If you divide by a smaller number, the overall value is greater, think of pie having bigger pieces if you divide it up for fewer people.

u dont need a 650 in each section to get into a 4 year school, thats ridiculouse. there are plenty of great 4 year schools that accept much less.

Yeah, don't make generalizations. Most polytechnics want 650+, most elite schools want 700+, and the most elite schools want 750+.

But some state schools will accept 550, like the University of Nebraska. You'll probably be able to find schools that will accept less than 600, but I'd advise shooting for 600 anyway to keep your options open and get scholarships.
